Boxing Day

Well that was a different sort of Christmas Day! We got up late and Anna had a lie in as it was the first time since she was 18 ( about 15 years ago ) that she wasn’t having to cook the Christmas meal. I rang the family and wished them all Merry Christmas and then after a quick breakfast we headed off into Kirkwall to see the Ba for the first time. I have posted some photos that I took, on my Flickr pages here. It is quite tricky taking photos as the herd of players ( not sure if that is the correct collective noun to use here ) can move very quickly and nowhere in the town is out of bounds except the cemetery apparently.

We then came back and Anna cooked a splendid meal of Goose which we ate with a rather nice bottle of ‘Dead Arm’ Shiraz. Then watched some telly in front of our peat fire.
